TELAAH HADIS TENTANG PERILAKU BERLEBIHAN: STUDI NORMATIF TERHADAP KECANDUAN GAME ONLINE

Abstract

Hadith of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) is recognized as the second source of Islamic law after the Qur'an. The understanding of hadith continues to develop, particularly in adapting its application to the modern context. This study aims to analyze the thoughts of Shah Waliyullah al-Dihlawi and Fazlur Rahman in understanding hadith, both of whom offer unique and influential approaches. This research employs a qualitative method with an analysis of sources such as books, classical works, and academic journals. The findings indicate that al-Dihlawi classifies hadith into tabligh risalah (legislative/prophetic message related to sharia) and ghayr tabligh risalah (non-legislative/contextual-social matters), allowing flexibility in interpretation. Meanwhile, Fazlur Rahman applies the double movement method to analyze the historical context and the contemporary relevance of hadith. Both scholars aim to maintain the relevance of hadith in addressing modern challenges.
