Literasi Jurnal Madrasah dan Pesantren
Literasi: Jurnal Madrasah dan Pesantren (LJMP) is a peer-reviewed academic journal established as a scholarly platform for disseminating research on Islamic educational institutions and practices. Since its establishment, the journal has progressively refined its academic orientation by developing a more focused scholarly identity centred on madrasah and pesantren education, while strengthening its editorial and publication standards to support the dissemination of rigorous and relevant research.
Currently, LJMP concentrates on three interconnected areas: Madrasah Studies, Pesantren Studies, and Islamic Curriculum, Pedagogy & Learning, particularly studies situated within madrasah and pesantren contexts. Through this focused orientation, the journal seeks to contribute to theoretically informed and empirically grounded scholarship on the institutional development, educational traditions, curriculum, pedagogy, learning practices, and contemporary transformation of madrasah and pesantren. LJMP is published quarterly in January, April, July, and October.

Vol. 2 No. 1 (2026) of Literasi: Jurnal Madrasah dan Pesantren presents scholarly studies addressing contemporary developments in Islamic education, particularly within madrasah and pesantren contexts. The articles in this issue explore Qur’anic memorization and character formation, adaptive PAI learning amid technological limitations, parental perceptions of madrasah education, the use of classical Islamic texts in fiqh learning, and the digital transformation of kitab studies through WhatsApp. Collectively, these studies highlight the dynamic interaction between Islamic educational traditions, pedagogical adaptation, institutional practices, and digital transformation, reflecting the continuing efforts of madrasah and pesantren to respond to changing educational and social contexts.
